Charm of Matajitu Moyo
Matajitu Waterfall, Moyo Island, Sumbawa Besar Sumbawa Island saves a lot of natural tourist potential that is challenging for us to explore. In general, highway access is already hotmix, so exploration by land using a motorbike or car is very comfortable to do.
Matajitu waterfall is located inside the forest on Moyo island, which is administratively included in the Labuan Badas sub-district, Sumbawa Besar regency. The charm of Matajitu has long hypnotized world celebrities, such as the late Lady Diana, Mick Jagger, Jason Statham, Maria Sharapova.
Coolness is strongly felt penetrating the body when arriving at the river stream leading to the waterfall. Alternative access to Moyo island: Using a motorbike/car: * From Mataram city takes a journey of ± 3 hours to Kayangan port in East Lombok. * Cross using a Ferry boat from Kayangan port to Pototano port, sea journey of ± 2 hours. * Land journey again from Pototano port to Sumbawa Besar city takes ± 3 hours. * To cross to Moyo island, we can go to Labuan Badas dock, Goa beach dock, and Ai'bariq village, travel time by sea takes around ± 1-2 hours. * Arriving at Labuan Aji dock on Moyo island, motorbike taxi drivers with modest motorbikes have welcomed us to go to Matajitu waterfall. Using a plane: * Flights from Lombok Airport (BIL) to Sumbawa Besar are available twice a day, in the morning and afternoon. * Arriving at Sumbawa airport (Sultan Kaharudin), we can rest at restaurants or hotels around the airport, while getting a rental vehicle to go to Labuan Badas dock, Goa beach dock, or Ai'bariq village to go to its Moyo island.
