Tiu Kelep Cliff, Senaru
One of the prima donna tourist destinations in North Lombok Regency is Sindang Gile waterfall (batukoq) and Tiu Kelep waterfall located in Senaru village, Bayan sub-district. The journey from Mataram city to this area takes about 2.5 hours.
The spot named Tiu Kelep cliff is located in the coffee plantation area owned by the forestry study program of the University of Mataram. To reach it, we must enter through the climbing gate of Mount Rinjani National Park, Senaru gate. From this gate we walk slightly uphill, or we can also use a motorbike for about 500 meters (a motorbike parking area has been provided).
The panorama treat that we will be able to enjoy is green hills lined up connected with the view of the towering peak of Rinjani, and if we look down we will be even more amazed by the beauty of Tiu Kelep waterfall that looks from a distance through a kind of viewing post provided by the managing officers, for the safety and comfort of visitors. There are also beautiful wooden benches and berugaq (gazebos) that provide food and drinks, so we don't need to worry about lacking logistics.
With permission and confirmation from the managing officer, Mr. Yani, from this Tiu Kelep cliff area we can also camp, which is enough to set up 5 tents, and hang hammocks.
The process of improving facilities and infrastructure in this new destination continues to be carried out, so our active participation is very necessary to help it materialize.
